Bahria Town’s Malik Riaz laces up for one lac IDPs.

Islamabad, Jun 29: Chairman of Bahria Town Malik Riaz on Sunday asked the government to allow his organization to look after one lac Internally Displaced Persons from North Waziristan Agency.  Addressing a news conference in Islamabad, Malik Riaz said Bahria Town had formally sought government to grant access to IDPs so the foundation could come forward for their welfare. He told the media that Bahria Town had made all necessary arrangements to lessen sufferings of IDPs and a 650 member team comprising doctors, nurses and teachers was ready to leave for IDP camps in Bannu. Malik Riaz said his team had prepared 55,000 food bags and was waiting to start relief operation in the area. A mobile hospital had been prepared was ready to reach the area, said Malik Riaz. The business tycoon said he was ready to respond to any assistance government asks for welfare of IDPs. He further announced to establish camps for migrants and all the facilities would be provided in the area. Bahria Town had planned a camp city for IDPs in which schools, Mosques, playgrounds and hospitals would be built to make the N.W.A brethren feel at home. Chairman Bahria Town furthermore said food would be supplied to the IDPs at their camps through the Bahria Dastarkhwan program. Riaz said that Bahria Town administration would also arrange education facilities for the children stuck up at the camps. The property giant urged the nation to help their Waziristani brethren in time of need.
